Wedding Flowers in Excelsior, MN
Locally grown tulips and peonies for Excelsior weddings — from a working flower farm in the Twin Cities, not an imported supply chain.
Why Couples Choose Us
Excelsior is the heart of Lake Minnetonka wedding country. We are about an hour west of our Eagan farm, but we make the drive happily for couples who want farm-grown peonies and tulips at their lake wedding. Excelsior weddings tend to be photogenic, garden-influenced, and highly Pinterest-able — exactly the aesthetic our flowers are built for.
Roughly 80 percent of cut flowers used in U.S. weddings are imported — flown in from Colombia, Ecuador, or Holland, refrigerated for a week, and trucked to your venue. Ours grow on a farm fifteen miles from your reception. The difference shows up in stem strength, color saturation, and how the bouquet holds together through a long wedding day.

Seasonal Availability
Excelsior wedding season runs May through October, with absolute peak in June and September. Peonies and Lake Minnetonka were made for each other — the soft, romantic forms photograph beautifully against water and sky. For a June Excelsior wedding, our peonies are the obvious choice. For May, we recommend our double tulips (the peony lookalikes) — same lush form, available a few weeks earlier.
What We Grow for Weddings
Tulips — March through May. Garden mix bunches with singles, doubles (peony-style), parrots, fringed, and lily-flowering varieties. Premium colors, strong stems, dramatic photography.
Peonies — late May through June. Our heirloom varieties: Sarah Bernhardt (soft pink), Karl Rosenfield (deep red), Duchesse de Nemours (white), plus a limited Coral Charm and Coral Sunset collection.
